TEDDY VEST with zipper is worked in fleece/teddy-yarn with a rib collar and rib edges worked in either wool or acrylic-yarn of your own choice. The zipper is sewn in between two layers of knitting by hand. The vest is worked in garter stitch across a 5 mm circular needle.

In garter stitch on 5 mm needles after washing and blocking:
11 sts x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm // 4 x 4 in

Materials:
50 g (50 g) 50-100 g (100 g) 100 g Chenillegarn (50 g = 210 m // 230 yd) from Yarn&Friends (NETTO, Dansk Supermarked). The green vest on the photo is worked in Chenillegarn in the color ‘støvet grøn’.

75 g (100 g) 150 g (200 g) 250 g Scheepjes Softy (50 g = 145 m // 159 yd) - note that when working in this type of yarn you’re working with two strands (included in the estimated amount of yarn). The brown vest on the photo is worked in 2 strands of Scheepjes Softy in color 480.

TOGETHER WITH

50 g (50 g) 50 g (50 g) 50 g wool or acrylic yarn for rib collar and rib edges (50 g =  140 m // 153 yd)

Two sets of circular needles 3 mm (60 or 80 cm // 24 or 32 in)

Circular needles 5 mm (40 cm and 60 or 80 cm // 16 and 24 or 32 in)

Stitch markers

Open-end zipper 4 or 6 mm, length depending on size; 20 (30) 35 (40) 45 cm // 7.8 (11.8) 13.8 (15.8 ) 17.8 in.

Needle and thread for installing the zipper.
